hud Assisted Living housing
question about light deposit for an apartment? need help!?
My single friend is moving close to me with her two children. She got approved for an apartment and is getting help to pay for it through hud housing. She was told that she needs to show receipts for her water and lights within 2 days or the apartment will be given away. She was told it would be $340.00 deposit for her lights. Now how is a single mom with 2 kids that is getting assisted living supposed to come up with that much money so soon? She doesn’t have any money or anyone to help her personally. Does anyone have an ideas on things we could do right away?
She already has her rent paid for her…she’s not entitled to everything, you know. If she had paid on time there wouldn’t be a deposit. Maybe she should hire a sitter and work.
