I’m Sick – How Do I Find Legitimate Work At Home Jobs In S. Calif?
Hi Everyone! I’m a landscape designer, running my own business, living on my own and supporting myself. I’ve recently become ill and I’m not able to work too much. The industry is also very slow right now. I need to find some work that I can do from home ASAP, or where I can set my own hours, as I’d really like to avoid having to go on disability…..it’s just not my style!
Does anyone know of an organization or service that can assist me in finding a legitimate job like this? Part-time or temporary would probably be best, although I’d consider the right full-time job considering my circumstances. I’m not sure how long it will take me to recover.

Hi Pam, sorry to hear you are struggling right now. My husband is in the same business so I understand how it is. Unfortunately there is no organization that will help you find employment that can be done from home. You are going to have to do it yourself. I have some good sources for you that I wish I would have started out with long ago. You need to visit http://www.wahm.com message boards and read, read, read. There is tons of information there that will help you avoid scams. Next, go to http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site that has a directory of legitimate companies that hire home workers. Depending on your skills and experience, you should find some good leads there.
One thing to keep in mind, is that finding and applying for these jobs can take time. Many times you will never hear back from jobs you applied for. This is typically because the competition for these positions is high and employers often get an overwhelming response. Create a good resume that you can tailor for each job you apply for.
