How can the elderly get some support to get a safe smoking area in the Assisted Living Facilities? HELP?
Most of us smoke 3 or 4 cigarettes a day and are not up to quiting. We should be able to have a safer smoking area other than a bench 25 feet away from the from door. These are not kids, they are delicate human beings that pay $2000 a month on average to live in a facility because they can’t live at home. We aren’t alsheimers patients we’re just old. HELP
Get a petition up. But as for the 25 ft. limit it’s because the wind blows the smoke into the building and you are outside because they don’t want smoke in the building.
Smoke around me and my eyes swell nearly shut immediately and my sister who is a smoker has seen it when I’ve gotten down wind of her by the wind changing direction. I would never ask her to quit smoking.
