Assisted Living business insurance
Can I start up an Assisted Living Business and bring my son with me?
I am a stay-at-home mom and these days we are short on cash. I have my MHRT-C and I am certified in CPR I have worked with many different kinds of people. What is the best way to advertise my help to different families? Do I need other certifications if I choose to work with the elderly? Is there an added insurance I would need in order to bring my son or can I just do this as easily as advertise and get a job? Are there places already out there that I can look for a job in this area? State funded perhaps? Your help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
I think you are talking about home health.
There should be some home health agencies in your area. You need insurance, and probably need a nursing degree- at least a LPN (mental health professionals don’t know how to do injections etc). No you couldn’t bring your son along with you. Call around & check & see if they have clients who just need someone to be more of a “senior companion” than a home health aid.
