I came across your article in The New Jersey Herald, and had immediate interest in working for your Assisted Living Facility.

I am willing to do most anything, such as help the patients with personal care and everyday chores. However, I do not yet have a driver’s license. Therefor, I will not be able to help with driving patients to things such as medical appointments and community events.

Though I am only fourteen years of age, I have proved my responsibility in maintaining good grades and volunteering at my martial arts school. I feel that I have enough experience; my grandfather of eighty-nine just passed away, having suffered with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. I am hardworking, and you will soon realize that I try my hardest at everything I do, and I never slack off. I work well with others, and I know that I will get along with all other patients and employees.

Be kind of tough at 14 to find a job like that. But what you can do is gor after school and on weekends and empty the trash and do odd jobs. When they see how good you are then they will hire you when the time is right.
